No Sign of Life is not the most typical band there is. Rising from a small town of Laukaa, NSOL has managed to create very wide fanbase globaly and especially in their homeland, Finland. Music they play represent metal but for some reviewers and to themselves it’s been impossible to gatecorize the music in any specific genre. Elements from the classic rock and even funk, with the lyrics of personal perspective of the world’s state today and demons that everyone carries inside, cuts the edge in many ways.
The success the band has received so far includes victories and final ranks in some of the top bandcompetitions in Finland, demo cd’s selling thousands of pieces and distributor in Japan to name a few. That is not the thing that really matters though. The most biggest satisfaction comes from creating the music and performing it live. And when the talk goes to the new music, the new album “Embrace Your Demons” steals the spotlight. This is the album where you truly hear the sound of No Sign of Life.
“Embrace Your Demons” is not a consept album. It’s an album full of stories about inner demons and point of views that should be spoken about. The band has finally found the balance between the epic melodies and the earthshaking rage they’ve always had, and also the space for everything else. No Sign of Life‘s music has always included various different elements that are not used to be heard in metal music. Those element’s, along with everything else that NSOL represents, is the factor that makes them unique. Demons inside are waking up. Are you ready to face them?
